Assistant Coordinator Oahu Dion'e Tamure
Dion’e Tamure is the daughter of the late Dwight Lani and Rowena Kaeo, and the Rev. Frank and the late Thomasine Melelani Tomaselli. Born in Palolo, Honolulu, Hawai’i, she is the seventh of 15 siblings. As a child, Dion’e resided in the Hamakua Coast of Papaikou and raised in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Raised with the essence of music, song, chant, prayer and dance, Dion’e was strongly influenced by her grandfather, Samuel Lani Kaeo, a composer of the song, Na Ka Pueo, and her hanai mother Kapulanakehau Tamure, a member of Na Palapalai.
After attending one year at Hilo High, Dion’e furthered her education at Kamehameha School and proceeded to the Las Vegas Academy of International Social Studies and Performing Arts. Thereafter, she attended Stanford University pursuing her career in music and where she received her Bachelor degree in Psychology. She is also a business owner for Healing Trauma by the Means of Polynesian Dance.

Digital Media Coordinator Laura Schweizer
Laura attended Illinois State University and graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. There, she interned at the school’s news station, TV-10, where she helped create an award-winning entertainment show-Ten on 10. While reporting at ISU, Laura earned a 2nd place award for Best News PKG, covering a story about party garbage going green.
After graduation, she wanted to spice things up and moved out to Durango, Colorado. While living in the small mountain town, she helped create and develop a digital media company-4CornersTV.com. While hard at work there, she hosted a show, Laura Schweizer: Weekend Warrior, where she got to do what she loves best-adventure! Laura has been skydiving, whitewater rafting, paragliding, snowboarding and more!
Another passion of Laura’s is fashion, so she packed up and moved to Denver, Colorado where she become the Digital Contributor for the city’s fashion magazine-303 Magazine. She also hosted Denver Fashion Week in 2016 & 2017, and contributed to Running Denver TV-another local digital platform.
Most recently Dion’e has been submitted for the 2017 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards in five categories. Having a heart to serve others, Dion’e has volunteered a countless number of hours to the Woman’s Board of Missions for the Pacific Islands, a ministry to women and children.
Her life’s mission is to enrich the lives of those she encounters through the gift of her music given to her by God.

Joseph Kelii O Kamalu Figaroa, born June 02, 1980 on the island of Kauai. As a native of the island of Kauai Joseph K. Figaroa had the privilege to become part of an International community of various cultural practices. With a desire to explore cultures from around the world Joseph K. Figaroa began a tour of various countries beginning in 2000.
After his return to Hawaii Joseph K. Figaroa established The Figaroa Collection a premier retail destination featuring luxury fashions created by international artist. This provided an opportunity to showase the beauty of each cultural experience with the community of Hawaii through fashion.
As The Figaroa Collection became a destination for artist to network and showcase and their seasonal creations the inspiration of Hawaii Fashion Week emerged. Hawaii Fashion Week supports the development of Hawaii's creative arts industry. And provides an opportunity for artist of various accomplishments to showcase their seasonal collections to Hawaii's influential clientele.
